Another successful tree planting season comes to an end!

A the sprawling Boreal forest south of Grande Prairie

This season our core crew of planters started out in the Grande Prairie and surrounding area. the weather was intermittent with rain, there was some difficult access and slick muddy roads but moral was high and they completed the contract with shining results.

Planting out of Hinton has it's perks, as you can see!

From there, planting contracts were based out of many areas all over Alberta including Manning and Dixonville for DMI, north of Grande Prairie in the Saddle Hills area for FRIAA and Norbord, moments away from the Rockies in Hinton and a few kilometers outside of the hamlet, Cynthia. Each contract offered its own nuances but our experienced planters tackled each contract with ease.

In the beginning, the crew was composed of 5 planters but grew to a total of 11 by the end of the season. Despite the size of the crew they planted over 1.5 million trees! We were thrilled to see them arrive back in Grande Prairie, trailers-in-tow, and smiles adorning their faces. Nothing feels better than the satisfaction of a job well done!
